Francolin Cottage sleeps 4 [preferably for 2 adults and 2 children – ideal for a family or very good friends],
Guinea Fowl Cottage sleeps 2 – ideal for a couple.
Owl Cottage sleeps 4 persons [2 bedrooms]. Please note the 2nd bedroom has 2 single bunk beds in the second bedroom – suitable for children.

All cottages include:

• Enjoy outdoor braais (barbecues) under the stars

Please discuss bringing dogs with if you book to stay in the cottages. Please refer to the rules listed below.

Campsites:

10 camp sites (each site is fairly private, nestled in the fynbos). Clean and beautifully decorated ablution facilities, serviced daily, electric points; no water at the sites but water can be collected nearby from the Ablution Block, braai areas, communal braai area, 2 x small plunge pools. There is a small fridge available for everyone to use. If you need anything – we are always happy to oblige where we can.

Caravanning:

We have 10 caravan sites (reasonably private). Our Ablution facilities are beautifully decorated and serviced daily. Each site has an electrical point, an individual braai area and the sites are serviced daily. Please note that there is NO water available at the sites – water can be collected from the ablution block nearby.

We operate on Borehole water and follow water-wise principles – therefore our sites are covered in crusher chips and are NOT grassed.

Please note that dogs are no longer allowed without discussion with the owners.

We also have a strict No-Noise and No-Music policy.

• No Noise Policy: Please keep noise levels down.
• No Dogs Allowed: Dogs are not permitted in cottages.
• Conserve Water: We use borehole water, so please be mindful of your usage. No washing cars allowed.
• Fire Safety: We are in a fire-sensitive zone. Only use designated braai areas and take care to prevent fires.
• Septic Tank Precautions: Only toilet paper in the toilets, please. No other items should be flushed.
• Farm Activities:
  • Enjoy our two lovely walks on the farm.
  • Feel free to feed the animals, birds, chickens, and ducks.
• Animal Safety:
  • No chasing or catching animals, chickens, or chicks.
  • Do not enter cages or paddocks without permission.
• Baboon Precautions: Close your windows when not in your cottage to prevent baboon entry.

• Rates: Our rates have increased – please click on the booking TAB for availability and rates. Please note we do not have a pensioner rate. We also offer negotiated rates for long stays. NO monthly rate is available.
• Firewood: We sell bags of firewood for R40.00 each. Help yourself to the bags, and let us know at the end of your stay – we work on a trust basis!
• Ice: Bags of Ice are sold at R20.00 each.
• Breakfast Basket: We offer our guests a continental spread delivered to your site / cottage in a picnic basket for R100 per person. Please note that It is important to request this on booking or give us 2 days notice.
• Shoppe: Visit our shoppe – next to the farmhouse for ice-cold drinks, snacks, souvenirs and even our own olive oil and honey.
• Booking Requirements:
  A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, to secure your reservation. Please note we do have card facilities for any further payments or purchases on-site.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• Bookings cancelled 0 – 14 days before arrival date, forfeit 100% deposit / payment. Any
  cancellations on the day of arrival will NOT be refunded.
• Bookings cancelled 15 – 21 days before arrival date, forfeit 90% of deposit / payment. This
  excludes any commissions deducted through a service provider / agent such as Booking.com,
  SafariNow, Travelground, Lekkerslaap, Afristay, AirBnB, etc.
• Bookings cancelled 22-31 days before arrival date, forfeit 75% of deposit. This excludes any
  commissions deducted through a service provider / agent such as Booking.com,
  SafariNow, Travelground, Lekkerslaap, Afristay, AirBnB, etc.
• Bookings cancelled 32 days or more, before arrival will have a minimum of a R250.00
  administration fee for any amounts paid that are less than R2,500.00 or a 10% of the total paid for
  any amounts exceeding R2,500.00, [deducted from any deposit / payment that was made.]
   This excludes any commissions deducted through a service provider / agent such as
  Booking.com, SafariNow, Travelground, Lekkerslaap, Afristay, AirBnB, etc.
• Bookings are unconfirmed until proof of deposit payment has been received.
• Proof of deposit payment must be received within 48 hours of booking otherwise our electronic
  system deletes the booking.
• Bookings require a 100% Payment within 48 hours of booking to secure your reservation unless
  otherwise agreed by management.
• If you cancel for any reason during your arrival – the guest will forfeit any deposit/payment made.
