Day Visitors: We do allow day visitors, however by appointment only - in other words, as long you let us know you will be dropping by especially in the week. That way we can prepare for your visit. We welcome visitors who have a desire to enjoy our farm, see and feed the animals and to walk our trails.
We are completely self-funded and all proceeds go towards the care of the animals. We charge R60 per adult and R30 per child. This will apply to visitors to the valley as well as locals. Please settle upon arrival. Guests will receive an information brochure and some food to feed some of the animals.
Call us on 072-223-4674 or email us on info@fynbosguestfarm.co.za
As we are completely self-funded, donations are always welcome. We have placed a donation box near the donkey cart, where guests and day visitors can read about the history of the farm and the sanctuary. All proceeds are ploughed back into the upkeep of the enclosures, the feeding of the animals and general maintenance.
below is our story.....
What nature delivers to us is never stale. Because what nature creates has eternity in it. —Isaac Bashevis Singer
Welcome to the Fynbos Farm family,
Almost 90% of the animals you will see on our farm are rescues. From the emus to the horses, from the donkeys to the goats; from the pigs to the dogs, from the springbuck to the Alpacas and even the cat….
Our endeavour is to provide the animals with quality of life, filled with love, care and tranquillity. You will see a natural harmony among everything, all coexisting in a peaceful respectful manner. Our animals no longer know what it means to be chased; teased or abused. They are home.
Nature is not only all that is visible to the eye — it also includes the inner pictures of the soul. — Edvard Munch
Started in 2007, from nothing, we have created a sanctuary for them, an extension of our family. Each animal has a story, a past and now a future.
Feel free to feed them; pet them [although please remember they are still wild animals] or simply just admire them. Welcome to their home, to our home.
If you have men who will exclude any of God's creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow men. — St. Francis of Assisi
Any donations will be warmly appreciated. This will be used for their upkeep, treats for the animals, and general maintenance and upgrade of enclosures. A portion of all donations received will be handed over to the Tulbagh CHAIN [Communities Helping Animals in Need]
The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens and nature. — Anne Frank
